PRODUCT

Think Outside Your Box.

Pretty boxes go viral. But they also go out of style.
The products that we have burned into our hearts as core memories are the ones that had the best commercials. Whether it was the story, the song, an iconic line, or just something about it that was memorable, the feelings they gave us are how they became our favorite products.

This is why creative storytelling in the tangible world of physical goods is so important. Personifying products is an advanced way to take marketing a big step further so that they don't just become property, they incorporate themselves into our lifestyle and identity.
Example 1:
Same Shop, Distinct Styles

Timeless Mystique

Summer Chic
Lydia
Lydia wanted to bring more exposure to her hidden gem bridal boutique. We found a unique way to show off her designer collection while being open about why the dresses are discounted.
Oh My Gown's Message
All women deserve to afford the wedding dress of their dreams, even if its designer.
How We Executed It
Lydia was not picky and cared more about her message than the aesthetic we went with so we had room to play. We used two lenses to test different looks. The first is a muted, classy, 1920's old money feel with a vignette that gives it a very niche charm.
The second uses higher levels of saturation to pronounce the colors in the dresses, with hints of neon and exaggerated pinks. This gives the video a more open and youthful impression that may appeal to younger generations versus the first that characterizes a more conventionally exclusive experience.

Example 2:
Same Product, Different Vibe

Rich and Vibrant

Soft Glow
Lauren
Lauren wanted her videos to be an ode to nature by encapsulating her process of sourcing the earth's elements and fermenting them into goods. Given that the brand name is Fermenting Fairy, she envisioned a whimsical and dreamy commercial.
But Ron, her husband and business partner, had his own interpretation. He wanted to take a more uniformed and traditional hard sell route, with more labels, bright colors, and bold texts to draw in the attention of prospects. So we created two looks before tying them together in a final product.
Fermenting Fairy's Message
Fermenting Fairy believes wholeheartedly in the healing power of plants and how they can enhance spiritual connections with our bodies.
How We Executed It
We created a custom package for Lauren and her Ron that included a vast variety of different styles so that they could collaborate with their social media manager to find out what works best for their brand.
For Ron, we created an enticing reel of how the product is hand made in the kitchen to further the notion of freshness. This reel was more traditional to the modern social media climate, but our personal spin gave it a homey nostalgia of being in a small kitchen while comfort food is prepared.
For Lauren, we gave her a softer, feminine appeal using small white lights and angles to capture sun beams glistening through her jars. Condensation on the glass and incorporated shots of nature and chandeliers in the trees contributed to the mystical atmosphere.
